Try Horchata Lattes at a New Dupont Coffee Shop

Boutique hotel Generator located on Embassy Row near Dupont Circle is debuting Café Integral, a new coffee shop devoted to Nicaraguan Fair Trade coffee beans. The cafe is open this month and is based on a similar partnership with Café Integral at sister hotel brand Freehand.

Café Integral at the Generator hotel will serve 30 different lots, with different flavor profiles for each coffee bean. Drink options also include horchata lattes, cortaditos, and iced hibiscus pineapple tea, with snacks like Legally Addictive Churros.

Caribou Coffee proposes coffee shop in city

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Caribou Coffee has plans to open a coffee shop in the city.

According to city documents, the company plans to build a 600-square-foot building at 2820 Eighth St. S., next to Domino’s. The Wisconsin Rapids Plan Commission will discuss the proposal at its meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 444 W. Grand Ave. 

The location would include a drive-thru as well as a walk-up window and outdoor seating. Entrances would be on Grove Avenue and Eighth Street South.

Customers crying over loss of North Florida coffee shop

A place for friends and good coffee is closing down in Jacksonville after the pandemic steals its foot traffic.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — (The video above is from an unrelated reported)

“Oh, we were really sad, really sad, we love them,” says a customer at Bold Bean coffee shop in San Marco.  

The sign out front announces the popular spot will close Sept. 12. and it seems as if everyone is bummed out. 

Anastasia Charles, a barista for Bold Bean for three years, says, “I know. I know. Some customers were crying this morning.”

Japanese coffee shop chain Excelsior to curb food loss via food sharing service TABETE

Some of our readers may recall our recent article in which we introduced Starbucks’ recent efforts to tackle to the pervasive problem of food waste in its Japanese stores by offering a 20% discount on food items in pre-closing hours. As it turns out, Japanese coffee shop chains are also stepping up to the plate when it comes to reducing food loss.

Since late August, Excelsior Caffé, a popular coffee shop chain operated by Dotour Coffee Co Ltd, has introduced TABETE, one of the largest food-sharing platforms in Japan (operated by COOKING Co Ltd) at 50 locations.

A Dunkin’ coffee shop in Colorado is temporarily closing after the number of staff fell from 15 to 3 and it couldn’t find anyone to replace them

  • A Dunkin’ branch in Colorado Springs has temporarily closed because it can’t find enough workers.
